Rev. Zachary Miller

Fr. Zachary Miller is the Pastor of Christ the King and Pope John XXIII Parishes in Liverpool. Born in Kingston, PA to parents Annette and Thomas Miller, he is the youngest of three living siblings. Brought by IBM, his family relocated to Vestal, NY, where he grew up with his sister Leah and brother Josh, attending Our Lady of Sorrows Church. After high school, he served six years in the Army National Guard and Reserve before earning a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. He attended St. Mary's Seminary in Baltimore and was ordained a priest of the Syracuse Diocese in 2015.

Fr. Miller’s priestly ministry extends well beyond the parish walls into the heart of the wider community. As a veteran, he currently serves as Chaplain to the Central New York Police Chiefs and assists with the sacramental life of the 174th Fighter Wing at Hancock Field as needed. He also contributes to the Ad Hoc Committee for Deacon Formation and serves as an on-call priest chaplain for Crouse Hospital and Upstate Medical’s Spiritual Care Team.

Whether ministering to those in uniform, to the sick, to those discerning vocations, or to anyone in need of spiritual care, Fr. Miller embodies the responsive and compassionate heart of the priesthood. Always ready to serve—day or night—he exemplifies true servant leadership by leading with compassion, serving with unwavering dedication, and reaching far beyond his parishes to touch every corner of the community.
